Intended Learners

This educational activity is specifically designed for gastroenterologists, hospitalists, internal medicine specialists, and other health-care professionals (physicians-in-training, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, etc.) involved and/or interested in the therapeutic management of patients with IBD.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the current understanding of IBD pathophysiology with respect to inflammatory signaling pathways and potential therapeutic targets
  • Integrate clinical evidence, recent real-world data, current guidance, and patient preferences into individualized treatment plans for IBD patients
  • Assess the mechanism of action and therapeutic potential of evolving treatments in IBD
  • Interpret pivotal clinical trial data and novel management strategies for integration into clinical practice

Your official record of ACPE credit will be generated through the CPE Monitor System. The certificate printed from this website after completing the evaluation for this activity is for personal tracking purposes only.

Eligibility for pharmacy credit is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-test and/or evaluation for each activity or session attended. Please note that you must complete the activity evaluation within 60 days of completion of the activity (August 18, 2021 for the live). Under ACPE Policy, NACCME will not be able to report your activity completion to CPE Monitor after this 60-day period.
